Ray Phillips for Clerk of Courts

Ray has a close relationship with both his family and his community. A lifelong resident of Washington County, Ray himself and his two brothers graduated from Canon-McMillan School District and he is proud to have also raised his own two daughters in the same school district.  He is a proud grandfather of one and has another on the way so is invested in the future of Washington County. Ray has maintained his relationship with the Canon-McMillan community by volunteering and sharing his football and wrestling athletic experience with the youth programs.

Ray also contributes time and energy to supporting local and national fundraising events such as The Wounded Warrior Project and Tunnel to Towers.  With hard work and dedication, Ray earned an athletic scholarship to Middle Tennessee State where he studied Radio and TV Broadcasting.  He later transferred back home and attended Washington and Jefferson College and graduated with a degree in Industrial and Organizational Psychology.  Ray used his education and knowledge to carve a place in the business world during his sales and management career with Sherwin Williams Automotive.  He has also been President of RJRTEC LLC – Collision and Rust Repair Facility – for 20 years.  Ray took great pride in pursuing continuing education, special training, and skills certifications.  Ray will apply this same drive for excellence in any career path he pursues and looks forward to the opportunity to serve Washington County Constituents.
